The Drawing Gallery
In this New Year, 2026, we are opening a Drawing Gallery.
“You can’t paint, if you can’t draw.” -Gaye Elise Beda
Ms Beda is a strong supporter of Professional Drawing Classes. This New Drawing Gallery reflects people on Coney Island Beach, portraits from the Frick Art Museum Collection, and the many different Professional Life Drawing Classes, she attended through the years.
Gaye Elise Beda wants to make a statement on how dear Life Drawing Models are to their profession. They study Models of the past and present. They modify their diet. They do their homework on the quality of professionalism.
Ms. Beda was the moderator of Louie De Donato’s Thursday Night Drawing Class at The Salmagundi Club in New York City for many years. This class is now, defunct.
Young or old, age has nothing to do with the passion professional Life Drawing Models inspire to. Ms. Beda has said many, many times. “The Happier the Model, the Happier the Drawers. The stronger the inspiration of the drawing. If you do not respect the Model. .. Leave… you do not belong there.”
There is a position of the Gallery that is for adults. It is not intended for children and teenagers. Please enable “for mature adults” restrictions, when needed. We took precautions to not expose private zones. Studying Human form is part of the process of becoming a classical trained Realist Painter. Which why, we wanted to include some Life Drawings in this Gallery. Ms. Beda has always been classical trained as a Realist. (it’s well documented)
